Gary Gillespie

Registered as a valuer in 1974, Gary joined W.A. Cleghorn and Associates in 1979, became a partner in the firm Cleghorn Gillespie and Associates in 1981. He has an extensive valuation background and technical knowledge in all forms of commercial property and is regularly sought after to act in the capacity as an arbitrator and or consultant for a range of valuation matters, particularly those of a litigious nature. Being domiciled within the tourism centre of New Zealand has also led to specialisation in the valuation of various types of tourist related properties. In 2001 he was admitted to the New Zealand Institute of Valuers and Property Institute as a Fellow member.

Mike Jensen

Registered Valuer, F.N.Z.I.V., F.P.I.N.Z. Property Consultant

Born in Rotorua, Mike obtained registration as a valuer in 1973 and returned to the city in 1985 to work alongside Gary in the growing urban side of the practice. In 1988 he became a partner in the firm and is a current director of the company. Mike undertakes a variety of assignments for a range of property types including commercial, industrial, residential and specialist use properties throughout the Bay of Plenty. He is recognised as an expert valuer in the field of residential ground rentals and tourist accommodation while compensation assignments are also one of his specialties. In 2007 he was admitted to the New Zealand Institute of Valuers and Property Institute as a Fellow member.

Sharon Hall

Registered Valuer
Registered Valuer, B Com (VPM), ANZIV, SPINZ

Sharon graduated from Lincoln College with a Bachelor of Commerce in Valuation and Property Management in 1986, becoming a Registered Valuer in 1989. Her work experience in the property sector spans over 27 years and has included various aspects of property valuation and management. Sharon started her career with the Housing Corporation in the Manukau and Henderson offices, later moving to Northland where she worked for McNally Valuations and also as a Real Estate Agent and banking consultant before shifting to Rotorua in 2000. Sharon became a part of the CGJ Ltd team in 2013 and will be well known to the public through her years of valuation experience in the Rotorua District. Sharon specialises in residential, lakes and lifestyle valuation. She is a Senior Member of the Property Institute and an Associate of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers.

Paddy Hayes

A Registered Valuer since 1996. Paddy has a property development background and his current work largely relates to commercial and industrial property, but also extends to residential and lifestyle property within the Rotorua/Taupo region. He has over 20 years experience as a valuer within the Bay of Plenty including work as an Expert Witness. He has been based in Rotorua since 2003 and became part of the CGJ Ltd team in 2012.

Kayan Ho

Registered Valuer, A.N.Z.I.V.

Kayan holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration Degree from Victoria University of Wellington and a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies in Urban Valuation from Massey University.  Kayan started her career in property valuation in 2005 as a graduate valuer with one of New Zealand’s largest private valuation firms in their Napier office where she worked predominantly in the commercial and industrial sector and became a registered valuer in 2009.  In 2010 she returned to Rotorua with her young family, later joining the Rotorua office of the aforementioned national valuation practice.  Kayan became a part of the CGJ Ltd team in  April 2014 working alongside Gary Gillespie.  She specialises in commercial and industrial valuation for various purposes and also undertakes assignments for specialist property class including motels, childcare centres, service stations and self storage facilities.  Originally from Hong Kong, Kayan speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
